Joey Hoelscher

Joey Hoelscher currently travels on the Steve Pettit Evangelistic Team, where he serves primarily as a singer, arranger, and sound engineer. He earned a bachelor’s degree in voice performance from Bob Jones University.

Joey grew up outside Kansas City, Missouri, and has had an interest in music as long as he can remember. Though he studied piano and percussion from a young age, singing was his main interest. During his senior year of high school, Joey followed God’s leading to pursue music in college, with the hopes that God would see fit to place him in ministry. He enjoys writing music, and, in recent years, has become increasingly burdened for new, doctrinally-rich, meaningful congregational singing. He is thrilled to be working with ChurchWorksMedia.

For what it’s worth, Joey loves a good cup of coffee and is rarely seen without his Starbucks travel mug. And though he deeply fears public ridicule and scorn, he is and always will be a Chiefs and Royals fan.
